What if Rudi Garcia’s successor was named Juninho

In search of a replacement for Rudi Garcia on the Lyon bench, the Gones would have activated several tracks including one leading to Juninho.

Installed as sports director during the 2018-2019 season, the former Brazilian international could take over from Rudi Garcia during the next sports exercise according to the daily information the team. Jean-Michel Aulas is thinking of this track which promises to be complicated from a regulatory point of view. Not having the required diplomas to coach in Ligue 1, the former captain of Les Gones could hardly occupy the Rhone bench. The club will have to pay big fines if it decides to opt for this solution.

OL are also thinking of Gallardo and Vieira

For his part, Rudi Garcia has already given his OK to join the Russian formation of Spartak Moscow according to the Russian site Metaratings. Aware that this issue will first have to be settled before making any significant progress on the transfer market, Lyon’s leaders have drawn up a short-list of coaches. In addition to Juninho and the two other coaches announced in the club’s sights in recent weeks; Christophe Galtier (LOSC) and Roberto De Zerbi (Sassuolo), Lyon would follow in the footsteps of Marcelo Gallardo and Patrick Vieira.
