AS Saint-Etienne has entrusted the Anglo-Dutch audit firm KPMG with the search for a buyer for the Forez club according to information from Progress.
The soap opera of the sale of the Saint-Etienne club may well experience many twists and turns in the coming months. While Roland Romeyer and Bernard Caïazzo, respectively Chairman of the Management Board and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AS Saint-Etienne, had announced that they would charge a bank to study the files of potential buyers, the two bosses finally decided to entrust this task to KPMG.
The audit company will begin its support mission this week. It will have to receive and sort the files of interested buyers, taking into account the degree of reliability of the latter. The regional daily also took stock of the investors who have come forward so far. Thus, we learn that Olivier Markarian, one of the jersey sponsors of the Greens and CEO of Markal, would indeed be at the head of a pool of local investors. For his part, Roland Romeyer would have met the managers of an investment fund based in Geneva a few weeks ago.
